Southampton police are appealing for information after a high-value ring was stolen from a city centre jewellers.
The incident happened at around 4:30pm on Saturday, 5 July, at H. Samuel in West Quay Shopping Centre. According to police, a man entered the store and asked a staff member to show him some jewellery. While being assisted, he discreetly placed a ring, valued at £12,000, into his pocket before leaving the shop unnoticed.
Officers have released a photograph of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the burglary. They believe he may have information that could assist their investigation.
A police spokesperson said: “We urge the man shown in this image, or anyone who recognises him, to contact us as soon as possible.”
