A man has been charged with more than 30 offences after a series of thefts from shops across Southampton, police have confirmed.
Marley Warner, 30, of no fixed abode, appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court today (4 September) facing 30 counts of shoplifting, two counts of burglary, one count of robbery, and one count of assaulting a police officer or other emergency worker.
The charges follow a spate of reported thefts from Co-op stores throughout Southampton between July and September this year. Police estimate that more than £2,500 worth of goods were stolen in the incidents.
Warner was remanded in custody and is due to appear in court again on 2 October.
