Southampton Police are appealing for witnesses and information following the theft of six high-value custom road bikes from a locked garage in Weston.
The incident is believed to have occurred sometime between 4 August and 8 August, when offenders gained access to a garage on Crookham Road. The stolen bikes, all made by Canyon, are described as distinctive and include: Canyon Ultimate Evo (white, green and yellow), Canyon Grail (black and blue), Canyon Inflite (yellow and black), Canyon Dude (teal green), Canyon Roadlite (black and green), Canyon Roadlite (black).
Police have released images of four of the stolen bikes in an effort to help the public identify them.
Officers are urging anyone who may have seen these bikes, or who has information about the theft, to come forward. They are particularly keen to speak to anyone who was in the area during the time frame, or who may have witnessed suspicious behaviour.
Detectives are also asking local residents and businesses to check any CCTV or doorbell footage from between 4 and 8 August that might assist in the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 44250357470.
A police spokesperson said: “These bikes are distinctive and of significant value. If you have seen them, or have any information, please get in touch. Your information, no matter how small, could be vital in helping us recover the stolen bikes and catch those responsible.”
