Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a serious road traffic collision on Thomas Lewis Way in Southampton.
Officers were called to the scene at 11:49am on Friday, 6 September, after reports of a crash involving a car and a woman riding a rented e-scooter. The incident occurred on the northbound carriageway.
The female rider sustained a serious injury to her arm and was taken to hospital for treatment. Her current condition has not been disclosed.
In response to the incident, Thomas Lewis Way northbound was closed from St Denys Road up to Portswood Road while emergency services attended the scene. The road has since reopened.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary thanked motorists for their patience during the closure.
Police are now urging anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have relevant dashcam footage, to come forward. Those with information are asked to call 101, quoting reference number 44250403728.
