The paddington bear statue is located on the watermark restaurant promenade, features Paddington bear in his iconic red hat and blue overcoat, holding a marmalade sandwich on a wooden bench. The ornament will become a permanent fixture of Southampton.
Unveiling the statue to the city alongside dignitaries was Southampton children’s mayor, Freya Orendecki.

The statues are part of a national trail, called Paddington Visits, to celebrate the character’s next movie adventure, 23 statues in total will be unveiled on benches across the UK.
