The historic Grade II listed Royal Pier venue has been reimagined under the leadership of new owner Imran Talukder, whose connection to the location runs deep. The name “De Ja Vu” pays homage to the 1980s when Talukder’s father was involved in the local restaurant scene, bringing a personal touch to this new chapter in the building’s storied history.
The transformation promises a novel dining experience while preserving the venue’s cherished elements. Located in one of Southampton’s most prestigious waterfront locations, De Ja Vu aims to elevate the city’s dining scene with its contemporary approach to Indian cuisine.
The restaurant specializes in authentic Indian flavors, offering a modern interpretation of traditional dishes in an elegant setting. Operating seven days a week from 5-11 PM, De Ja Vu welcomes both intimate dining occasions and larger celebrations in its beautifully renovated space.

The relaunch marks a new era for this Southampton landmark, building upon the legacy of its predecessor while charting its own course in the city’s culinary landscape. Reservations for De Ja Vu are now open to the public, inviting diners to experience this exciting new addition to Southampton’s dining scene.
