Hampshire Police are appealing for information to identify a man linked to a theft at a property on Ladycross Road, Hythe.
The incident happened between 3pm and 8.30pm on Monday 21 July. Officers say an unknown man visited the address with the intention of buying a mobile phone. Instead, he swapped the phone box with another containing stock cubes and left with the phone, without paying.
Police believe the man captured in images related to the case could assist their investigation. They are urging him, or anyone who knows who he is, to come forward.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, saw suspicious activity in the area at the time, or has CCTV, dash cam, doorbell, or mobile phone footage that might help the inquiry is asked to contact Hampshire police.
